Hello, my name is Shauna I was born in Tampa, Florida, and moved to Wisconsin back in 1989 when I was just a youngster. After graduating from Poynette High School, I moved to the Baraboo area where I have a family of two girls, four step children, and three grandkids. 

Here's my connection:  So one Sunday afternoon we were working a brat stand fundraiser for softball and we saw a family with two younger boys living in a van. I thought to myself, " Wow, I didn’t realize that we had this problem in our area?"  So, at the end of our sale we took the family food and drinks, and the smiles the family expressed were a great feeling knowing they received a meal that day.  At that point it was an eye opener for me and I wanted to help any way I could.

How I became interested in helping with the Baraboo Area Homeless Shelter is through my job at Culver’s (Baraboo).  Our franchise has been very active in helping the Baraboo community out any way we can with amazing support behind me from my peers as well as above me.  I began to think of ways to help raise funds to support this project  - both through donations and hands on volunteering. So we started a change jar, did share nights, calendar sales, and dollar donations.  I’m honored to be apart of this amazing community and project.
