Lieutenant Ryan Werner

Hello, my name is Ryan Werner. I am a Lieutenant with the Baraboo Police Department, and have been with the department since 2005. Being in a law enforcement role, I regularly interact with members of the Baraboo community, and have an up-close view of the struggles many of them are facing, which includes homelessness. When the Baraboo Area Homeless Shelter was established in 2019, it was determined that a member of law enforcement should sit on their Board of Directors. I was honored to be chosen to fill that role, and will remain until my term expires in December 2024. 

Also in my law enforcement role, I am involved with the Sauk County Adult Treatment Court, I am an Accreditation Manager/Assessor with the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Accreditation Group (WILEAG), as well as a state certified Defensive and Arrest Tactics instructor. 

It has been a wonderful experience seeing the ideas and dreams of our original board members come to reality and witnessing the immense impact Pathway Home has had on our community, bettering the lives of so many!
